Days Gone studio is working on a new open world franchise

New franchises are very important to us. New IP addresses are the lifeblood of gaming. But new IP addresses are only part of our strategy. I want PlayStation Studios to take a risk. I want to continue the PlayStation legacy, push the boundaries of gaming, and make games matter. Games that maybe It was not made anywhere else.

Now, SIE Bend Studio isn’t the only Sony studio gearing up for the upcoming PlayStation release. In fact, there are 25 projects in development at Sony’s global studios, one of which is the responsibility of the Asobi team.

In the same post, Holst highlighted that the Asobi team is developing an «all ages» franchise with «worldwide» capabilities. I also rate this team as ‘world class’ and ‘very creative’.
