We get interesting news regarding Dragon Quest XII: Flame of Destiny, since Square Enix President and CEO Yosuke Matsuda confirmed that this installment will introduce new elements to the saga that will define it over the next few years.
At the end of last May, the company announced that it was working Dragon Quest XII: Flame of DestinyThe title was announced without further details being shared despite it being confirmed that it will use Unreal Engine 5.

Since then, not much has been known about the game, although Yusuke Matsuda recently answered some questions. FamitsuHe said that game development takes into account the next 10 to 20 years of the Dragon Quest series, so this new release will bring important changes in the saga:
“There are parts that remain consistent with the traditional image of Dragon Adventure, but new items are also necessary. As a brand, we always need to innovate.”
Despite this statement, it is still too early to know how many changes will occur Dragon AdventureSince its inception in 1986, its games have stayed the same.
However, another sure point for the game is that Yuji Horii will be the producer and screenwriter, while Takeshi Uchikawa will re-work as the director after his work on Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Era.
