First things first, a quick summary of today’s episode to get you started; The chapter begins exactly where the previous one ended, with Loki and Sylvie – the female surrogate – on the verge of death on the planet Lamentis-1, however, a connected event seems to begin to unfold at that moment.

If you don’t remember, the nexus event is the event that detects when a variable is on a timeline that it doesn’t belong to, that’s how TVA manages to capture variables.

However, Sylvie manages to hide from these bonding events by staying in specific places and times experiencing the impending apocalypse. The series shows that by not being able to change anything so that said destruction is prevented, the variable can stay there and go completely unnoticed.

Everything is good there until this episode, because at the apocalypse in Lamentis-1, a correlative event is created, which should be impossible because the planet itself will die along with its inhabitants. It goes without saying that this interconnected event was due to the sudden sympathy, and even love, that Loki feels for his female variant.

Unfortunately, all of this doesn’t quite explain how the Bond event could have arisen in the middle of the apocalypse, and is probably something that will be explained or elucidated in future episodes.

The episode continues as Loki and Sylvie are arrested again, while Mobius and Special Agent B15 learn that their lives in AVT were a hoax and that they are just variables, just like Loki.

Mobius is unfortunately eliminated by Ravonna while Loki and Sylvie are executed with the timekeepers to be executed. The surprise here is that when B15 helps free themselves and defeat the AVT, we learn with Loki and Sylvie, that Guardians of Time are nothing more than androids, simple bots.

Next, Ravona eliminates Loki – yes, our Loki – but is subdued by Sylvie, who threatens to explain everything to her if she doesn’t want to die. Don’t be discouraged, because this chapter is the first to have a post-credits scene, which showed us that Loki isn’t really dead, being transported into a ruined world with 3 of its variants, Kid Loki, Classic Loki, and Bragging Loki.

Who are the timekeepers?

In the series there are bots, or androids, for now, but it’s more complicated in the comics. They were created by the cosmic entity that survives, precisely to protect Time itself from the Marvel multiverse.

However, He Who Remains, before The Guardians, creates the Time Twisters, their first failed version of the Time Keepers, who only seek their own salvation at the cost of everything, including the timelines he was supposed to protect.

In the comics, neither the Time Keepers nor the Time Guardians are far from the bots, although they have disappeared and been replaced by Time Twisters with bad intentions.

The Guardians of Time, as mentioned in the series, created the Body of Time Change, or AVT, which is specifically responsible for maintaining the timeline without any kind of change significantly affecting existence itself.

The Guardians have recruited many famous beings and cosmic entities from the Marvel universe to help them maintain the timeline, such as Uatu the Watcher, or Immortus, better known as Kang the Conqueror, the villain who will debut on the big screen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

At the moment, we don’t know if the Time Keepers actually existed in the Loki series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or if they would still be mere puppets although, if so, who in the world created the AVT?

What the hell is up with Sylvie and Ravona?

The episode showed us how Sylvie, Loki’s female surrogate, was arrested, which is sad to say the least, because she was just a girl living her life normally when Ravona and AVT arrested her for being different. What happened there?

Hopefully in the remaining two chapters of the series they will explain in a better way why Sylvie is a mutant, as well as why Ravona looks against everyone, because she’s hiding something, something Shuncho and maybe it will be revealed in the next episode.

Ravona has served in the comics as both a hero and a villain, especially as she hangs out with her lover Kang the Conqueror, the famous villain from The Avengers and the Fantastic Four who travels back in time to commit his own evil deeds and plans.

Who are the variants of Loki appearing in the post-credits scene?

As mentioned at the beginning of the note, in the post-credits scene of Chapter 4 of Loki, he wakes up in a devastated place with three different types of him, which the credits eventually confirm are Kid Loki, Classic Loki and Postfull Loki.

Bragging Loki, Kid Loki and Classic Loki

First things first, with Classic Loki we can sense that it’s going to be a more relatable version of the Loki we see in the comics – and much more ruthless, cocky, and cursed – since his outfit is very similar to how Loki looked in the first pages in which he first appeared.

Then we have Kid Loki, who appears in the comics after Loki’s death at the hands of Sentry in the events of the siege – if you don’t know what we’re talking about, visit Note Loki: Who the Hell is the new character appearing in the series? [SPOILERS]-. Before his death, Loki made a pact with Hela to be able to be reborn, however, he had to sacrifice all his memories for this to happen and it did.

Loki was reborn as a French boy named Serur, with the same abilities and powers but without the same knowledge he already had of them, or of himself. This version of Loki was meant for theft and cheating – for a change – until he encounters Thor, who gets to know him and tells him about his past.

Thor forgives him and gives him a chance to make a new life for himself, as various memories of Loki have returned, but this new version lacked the evil deception god. He was even a part of the Young Avengers and earned the respect and trust of the Asgardians.

But hey, they are comics and the stories go back to their starting point, it turns out that in the back of Kid Loki’s mind, Loki is still from the past, who eventually manages to get off the mind of his kid version and take over his body.

Then he used Wiccan – son of Wanda and Vision and a member of the Young Avengers – and his ability to age his body a little more and not stay like a kid, after Loki left the group in search of something else to live for, but that’s a story for another time.

Finally, we have the Boastful Loki, who is a complete stranger to everyone, the only thing known about him is that he wields a hammer, although it is unknown if it is a Mjolnir – that means this variant is one worthy of a hammer – or if it is another weapon he forged for himself .

As such, there are no cartoon records of any Boastful Loki, so this is a completely new character in the series, just like Sylvie, as she is neither Lady Loki nor Enchantress.

Anyway, this is the most relevant thing you should know and keep in mind loki. There are still two more episodes left, so we can hope that many of our questions will finally be answered, plus these chapters will be full of emotions and will be very intense.
