Atari’s next-generation console is coming this month and will cost the same as the Switch

The console you’ve been waiting for is coming soon! Atari has announced that the Atari VCS, the next generation console, already has a release date. It was also revealed that it will be just as expensive as the Nintendo Switch.

According to Atari, the Atari VCS will hit stores in the United States on June 15. This console will retail for $299.99 in a bundle that includes the console in black. A special package that costs $399.99 and includes a classic console and a modern console will also be available.

At the moment, it is not known when the Atari VCS will arrive in Mexico or other parts of Latin America. We’ll let you know when we know more about it.

What is Atari VCS?

In case you didn’t know, the Atari VCS is a type of mini PC that Atari offers as a next-generation console. It is a device with an AMD Ryzen processor and supports 4K resolution, HDR, and up to 60 frames per second.

With the above, Atari VCS strives to be a platform for playing various indie games, as well as classic Atari games. In fact, every console comes with a copy of the Atari VCS Vault, which gives you access to 100 classic arcade games and the Atari 2600.
