Gearbox gave a short presentation at E3 2021, where he talked about his next projects that are on the way. While there wasn’t much announcement, studio head Randy Pitchford shared additional details about the much-anticipated movie from Borderlands.
The developer spoke with a variety of creators working on the film, including Eli Roth, Emmy Yu, and Ari Arad, the film’s director, executive producer, and producer, respectively. Thanks to this, we know the movie is on the right track.

Pitchford commented that filming for the film is already more than half advanced, so they are in the final phase of shooting and will later go into post-production. For his part, Roth said his goal is for the film to get through and conquer people who aren’t necessarily fans of the saga.
Finally, Kevin Hart, the actor who will play Roland, was excited about the behind-the-scenes production presented by Gearbox. Unfortunately, no trailer for the movie has been revealed.
