During a recent press conference on the occasion of the Blu-ray release of Evangelion 3.333.0000Voice actress Maya Sakamoto said that creator Hideaki Ano told her the secrets of the character he plays, Marie Illustrious Makinami.

The truth is, it’s kind of curious to know what information the actress has, though we’ll probably never know, at least not from her, as she stated «I’ll take (those secrets) to the grave.»
We already know some trivia about the character, for example, her name refers to the Japanese WWII destroyer Makinami and the British aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious, but these secrets the actress refuses to reveal must be really deep.
