Steam Deck: Presale was a nightmare and distributors are already doing their thing with the laptop

The news of the week was that Valve announced Steam Deck, a portable device that will allow you to play a lot of PC games. The presale of this PC started today and it was a process that quickly turned into a nightmare. Especially when we consider that distributors are already doing their job.

At 12:00 noon Mexico City time on July 16, the Steam Deck pre-sale begins. The operation was carried out through the official Valve website, and although many hoped that there would be no major problems, the opposite happened.

What we mean is that users complained that the page did not allow them to remove the laptop. Others confirmed that they were able to add it to the cart, but it was gone in seconds. There were also those who couldn’t even log into their accounts to try and put the console away.

In fact, Justin Roliand, one of the creators Rick and MortyHe revealed that he had a lot of trouble putting Steam Deck aside. So much so that in the end he decided to give up.

The sellers are already doing their job

The worst thing about this whole situation is that the distributors are already doing their job. That’s right, even the fact that Valve limited the purchase of one Steam Deck per account could prevent people from actually offering it at exorbitant prices for resale.

What happens is that if you look at eBay, you will see that they are actually offering a Stream Deck at a much higher price than the original price. There are those asking for $1900 more than the usually more expensive version of Steam Deck would cost.

So, unfortunately, this is yet another case of a video game producer suffering from clumsy pre-sales and sellers. Hopefully the situation will end at some point.
