“This is a win for all the operators! Twitch cannot harass and lie and treat banners unfairly like he has been doing for years!” Said the player on his networks.

Twitch’s response to Phantoml0rd’s victory

Shortly after the authorities made the decision, a Twitch spokesperson spoke out about the Phantoml0rd case. The company representative indicated that the player would not be allowed to return to the platform, as there were sufficient reasons to keep his ban in effect.

«While we regret the procedural failure related to terminating Varga in 2016, it has repeatedly violated Twitch Community Guidelines and exposed our community to harmful content. We fully support our decision to terminate your account, and you will not be permitted to return to the service, Twitch said.»

The company indicated that it has been working since 2016 to establish clearer processes and guidelines regarding blocking and account cancellations.
